Frist Uses Scare Tactics Against Feingold Censure

It’s pretty obvious the Republicans will try anything they can to get people to not support a censure of President Bush. Here we have Frist basically trying to lead the public to believe that a censure of the President will allow terrorists to attack us

This is a lie and Frist should be removed from office for constantly getting between any action that would lead to Bush being shown in negative light.

“As I was listening to it, I was hoping deep inside that the leadership in Iran and other people who really have the U.S. not in their best interests, were not listening because of the terrible, terrible signal it sends.”

What signal? Ths signal that the American people do not want a president who knowingly breaks the law and issues warrantless wiretaps against Americans who have no ties to terrorism?

Let’s not forget, they are spying on anti-war protesters, which goes against their constitutional rights to disagree with the government and as well as protest over it. These people have no ties to terrorism.

Asked if he thought Feingold’s censure resolution “actually weakened America abroad,” Frist told “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos, “Yes.”

Of course, anything to scare the people into thinking, a censure would not be right. Frist will do anything to protect Bush and the Bush image. He is a Bush crony and has continually mislead this country while flying around in private jets making private backroom deals with corporations and other republican-backing friends and colleagues in office.

“We are right now in a war, in an unprecedented war - where we do have people who really want to take us down . . . So the signal that is sends, that there is in any way a lack of support for our Commander-in-Chief, who is leading us with a bold vision in a way that we know is making our homeland safer, is wrong.”

That “lack of support” was shown when the polls were divided in the Bush election. He makes it sound as if everyone in America is “for the war” and “pro-Bush” that is simply not true.

The presidents approval rating is at 34% now. That is a clear sign of lack of support. A censure shows someone is finally stepping in to do the job the Republican-led congress has not done. Stand up to the president.

When the republican-controlled congress backs down and is in Bush’s pockets, it is up to the minority and the People to lead the fight from here.

Change congress this year and send a message to Washington.
